The End

Today, I’m writing to you to let you know that the interview with the guys from Outrage AD posted on our blog was the very last article made by Metal Made in Canada. It took a while to come to that conclusion, but the lack of time in my personal life left to devote to the Canadian scene and also the fact that motivation was constantly getting harder to find brought me to that decision.

Metal made in Canada has been going for 6 years, in that time I have had the chance to meet new people involved directly and indirectly with Canadian metal bands. I also had the chance of discovering tons of bands which were completely unknown to me before, obviously the main reason why I started this site in the first place, to try to get the word out there about the huge amount of talent that was hidden from the ears of most people from coast to coast. I didn’t even know back then that there even was a Canadian scene and I realized after starting the website that I was far from the only one to be unaware of it.

Most importantly, I had the chance to “work” with a select few during that time, fellow metalheads with enough passion about the music to be willing to spend a considerable amount of time researching information about bands and writing album reviews, interviews, yearly best of and news on a regular basis, helping me feed the site over the years to keep it alive and going. Those few are the ones I want to thank today, this message would have been made a few years before if it was not for you, cheers and thanks for all the help over the years, I’m eternally grateful.

So, 6 years later, after numerous album reviews and other publications, 2 compilations gathering some of the best death and black metal bands from the Great White North, the end is finally here. I’m keeping the websites online for posterity so that your children and grandchildren may have something to read about the Canadian metal scene when they grow up. Thanks to all the people who have followed us over the years, keep on supporting your local scene, it needs you!

Cheers,

The folks at Metal Made in Canada
